The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is a single-player first-person shooter video game developed by Terminal Reality and published by Activision. It is based on The famous Walking Dead television series. The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct acts as a prequel to the TV series; it is set in the Georgia countryside and focuses on Daryl and Merle Dixon as they make their way to Atlanta during the early days of the zombie apocalypse. The critical reception for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct was extremely negative. Almost every aspect of the game was criticized, including graphics, control and plot.

You will play as Daryl Dixon, who is really good at surviving and killing zombies. As long as he continue to travels, he meets other survivors, who can either help or leave. He will have to be cautious of how much fuel, ammo and food he has, and think very strategically of who and how many he chooses to take in to his group. To travels, player will have to choose an option which will effect on your journey and every option had different effect, so choose the best on your condition. He can also change the vehicle he is using, ranging from a small truck to an SUV. The vehicles use up fuel which you have to watch over. When you run out of fuel, you must stop at various roadsides to try and scavenge jerry cans of fuel.
